The midriff pieces measure 2.5-3 inches smaller than the waist measurement on the sizing chart. The boatneck neckline facing didn't fit the bodice. The boatneck bodice is a shallow V neck, not a rea. I wanted to start taking my dressmaking skills to the next level, with more professional finishes. I like the ability to mix-and-match patterns. I've taken several sewing classes and am probably a beginner/intermediate sewer, so I'm not sure how good it is for absolute beginners.
