"Helpful aid" according to Christine N. Ethier. Every time you are about to give up on Charles River Editors,they do something good. This book, which I picked up free, sell for just under three dollars. It is actually a pretty good look at Hamlet, and would aid the college or high school student who is reading the play. The criticism, while not deep, is good and on target. I do have to wonder, however, why Brannagh's movie version wasn't mentioned.
