We need to know if solar and wind power will ever really be viable. But the “energy question” is more confusing, contentious, and complicated than ever before. citizens that nothing has more impact on our lives than the supply of and demand for energy. The author of Physics for Future Presidents returns to educate all of us on the most crucial conundrum facing the nation: energy. The near-meltdown of Fukushima, the upheavals in the Middle East, the BP oil rig explosion, and the looming reality of global warming have reminded the president and all U.S. We need to know if nuclear power will ever really be safe. Richard A. Its procurement dominates our economy and foreign policy more than any other factor. And we desperately need to know if the natural gas deposits in Pennsylvania are a windfall of historic proportions or a false hope that will create more problems than solutions. Muller provides all the answers in this must-read guide to our energy priorities now and in the coming years.

"An informative, comprehensive discussion of important economic and environmental issues." ---Kirkus

"Excellent Resource!" according to Book Shark. Energy for Future Presidents: The Science Behind the Headlines by Richard A. Muller"Energy for Future Presidents" is the educational, informative and accessible book on energy. The book covers popular topics on energy: energy disasters, energy landscape (modes of transportation), and "new" technologies. Professor of physics and author, Richard A. Muller, succeeds in providing the public a wonderful topical book that covers the most important topics on energy. The author uses a cleaver approach in the book; he plays the role as an energy advisor to you the future President. This e. "Dramatically Informative" according to D. A. DeBruyne. This is an update/continuation of his previously published "Physics for Future Presidents." Both are superlative. I have recommended both to essentially everyone in my social circle. The Best Book on Energy Muller is a physicist that applies his scientific and pragmatic mind to the energy sector. The book discusses every form of potential large-scale energy production and goes through pros/cons. His presentation is pretty apolitical although he has obvious favorites as far as energy is concerned (nuclear, natural gas). His favorites are based on what he feels (and demonstrates) are the most likely to best reduce CO2 emissions while being realistic about consumption and the dramatic increase of energy demand in the developing world. He's tough on electric vehicles, wind, and hydrogen

He was the public address announcer for the New York Mets from 1988 to 1993. Richard A. Muller is a professor of physics at the University of California, Berkeley, and a winner of the MacArthur Fellowship, often called the "Genius Award."Pete Larkin is an AudioFile Earphones Award winner and a 2014 Audie Award finalist. An award-winning on-camera host, Pete has worked on many industrial films and has done hundreds of commercials, promos, and narrations.
