An enthralling novel set in early 19th-century England, Paris, and New York, featuring an indomitable young heroine who rises from ruin to become the toast of Paris, by way of the chic bordello she establishes for the most powerful men in France.Turned out of her ancestral home by her vicious half-brother, the orphaned daughter of an English duke and a French noblewoman makes her way to Paris and takes in abused French streetwalkers, transforming them into sought after courtesans in the city's most exclusive bordello, Le Boudoir…only the beginning of her return to the upper reaches of society and ultimate justice.

I loved it and wanted more when I came to the end. I saw the book in walmarts and said hm i am going to look this up on my tabulet. So glad I did if you want a book you can,t put down go out and buy it right away. The Duchess Outstanding book by Danielle Steel. She takes care of six children and does a good job on until a party guest complains she made advances to him. It was a lie. She immediately dismissed with no reference. No would hire her without a reference.. "One of Danielle Steel's Best" according to DonnaReada.
