A good book for a restoration library PhotoGene47 I am currently reading the book authored by Ctein. I did not know it was written in the Adobe Photoshop CS4 time frame when I purchased it but there is still a lot of good information to help one restore photographs of the past. The author covers the tools needed, both hardware and software, as well as the procedures used by the author to restore photographs. For me, it was well worth the money I paid.. "A must have for anyone who enjoys photo restoration." according to Jose A. De Leon. Great book if you really want to dig in digital restoration of old photos. This book is packed with information on how to tackle jobs that you will probably never encounter, but if you do, it will help you fix them. From really washed out photos to dull and yellowish photos, damaged photos with really deep scratches, and so on. You can read it from start to finish, or just go to the guide in the beginning of the book, which will show you a damaged photo you can compare with what you have, and then take you directly to the page that tackles the problem.
