This is the book he talked about and I don't know of another on the topic. There are a number of article on Negative, but not a lot of books, so if interested this it.. Polarity as an aspect of harmony! J. Giardullo This book is a gem and the idea of polarity being an "unheard" but functional aspect of the reality of tonal gravity is very rewarding. I think it is connected to The Lydian Chromatic Concept of George Russell and I would not be surprised if Russell was aware of it as he developed his ideas.. Interesting and useful.
